Program Itinerary of the 3-Day Desert Tour Fes to Marrakech

1

Day 1: Fes » Azrou (Cedar forest) » Midelt » Erfoud » Merzouga (Night in Desert Camp) [467 Km]

We will pick you up from your riad/hotel to start your 3-Day Fes to Marrakech Desert Tour then drive south to Ifrane and Azrou through the Middle Atlas mountains.

On the way, we will stop at the cedar forests to see the Barbarian Apes in their natural habitat. Traveling through the Tizi Ntalghamt pass to Midelt and along the magnificent Ziz Gorges carved through volcanic rock, you’ll see views of the Middle-Atlas plateau and the scenery changing to reveal hints of the desert as you approach the city of Errachidia.

After lunch, we’ll continue our journey through the Ziz Valley to Erfoud, Rissani, and Merzouga. After a glass of mint tea, we’ll leave our luggage in a safe room then take a camel ride to a Berber camp in the middle of the Erg Chebbi Sad Dunes which are the highest in North Africa. The camel trek takes about 1h 30 min from the camp to set up Berber tents for our night in the desert.

The tents are well equipped with mattresses, blankets, and cushions. After dinner, we will gather around the fire and enjoy the sound of traditional Berber drums under the stars. That’s the end of 1st day of our Fes to Marrakech Desert Tour.

2

Day 2: Merzouga » Todra Gorges » Dades Gorges [255 km]

We will see an amazing sunrise over the sea of dunes. After a delicious breakfast and a hot shower in the camp, we will return to Merzouga again by camels or 4WD as an option.

Then, we will leave the Sahara desert towards Tinghir “the city of the mountain” in Tamazight, another beautiful Berber village where we will delight with the contrast of their palm trees and the peculiar color of their houses. route where the landscape shows its contrasts.

We are in the gorges of Todra formed by rock walls of more than 200m and after visiting them, we will go to the Dades Valley, a Berber village famous for its high gorges and its views over the Atlas, now on the horizon. Second night of the Fes to Marrakech desert tour in riad with charm.

3

Day 3: Dades » Ouarzazate » Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah » Marrakech [315 Km]

On the last day of our 3-Day Fes to Marrakech Desert Tour, we will cross the Valley of the Dades and the Valley of the Roses until arriving at Ouarzazate, where we will visit the Kasbah of Taourirt.

After about 25 km of the road, we will see the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, declared World Heritage by UNESCO famous for being the scenario of cinematographic blockbusters like the Oscar-winning “Lawrence of Arabia”, “The Protective Sky” or “Babel”.

We will follow the road through the Tizi N-Tichka pass and the beautiful landscapes of the High Atlas mountains that will lead us to the “Red City”, Marrakech and here you can say goodbye to your guide.

Incredible

This was the most amazing experience! Our guide Yakoube and driver Ibrahim were extremely friendly and kind. We got to see and do so much and learn a lot about Morocco and Berber culture.

As well, the accommodation and food were amazing. Definitely include this tour in your trip if you can.

Unforgettable 3 day trip from Fez to Merzouga and Marrakech

My sister and I did the 3-day Fes to Marrakech desert tour. This was hands down the best part of our stay in Morocco.

Said was very responsive in the run-up to our trip and Ali, our driver was great. He was super friendly, flexible, and shared lots about life in the desert.

The hotels were all great and the tent set-up in the desert was incredible. I would recommend a trip with Morocco Tours Agency.

Fes to Marrakesh - amazing trip

My boyfriend and I took the 3-day Fes to Marrakech desert tour. We booked the group tour but ended up just the two of us with our awesome guide and driver.

The journey was fabulous. The sceneries were magnificent and the activities were great. From nourishing the monkeys to riding dromedaries and walking through the Dades valley, everything was perfect.

Thank you so much, Said and Mohamed for those imperishable memories!

3-days trip Fez -Merzouga Desert & Marrakech, thoroughly recommend

We booked a 3 day trip to the Atlas mountains from Fes to Marrakech through Sahara Adventures. We visited many places in the South-East part of Morocco, too many to name, but all SO interesting, and like walking back in time.

Our wonderful driver could not do enough for us. He drove with such care and imparted all his local knowledge to us along the way. It was never a problem for him to stop for us to take pictures, ask questions or help us when we were trying to find something. Unfortunately, we were not well and he was so caring and concerned for us.

We can't speak highly enough of the tour we had, the experience riding our camels at sunset and sunrise will always be unforgettable, as will all the lovely Moroccan people we have met along the way. We wouldn't hesitate to use or recommend Morocco Tours Agency again.

3 Day Fes to Marrakech Private Tour

For the first time in Morocco, I went on a 3 days private tour with a friend. Ali was our guide and I couldn't have asked for a better trip! He was easygoing, knowledgeable, and accommodating.

We spent 3 days, 2 nights visiting the Atlas mountains, Dades Gorges, Merzouga, Ouarzazat, and Ait Benhaddou among other destinations, beginning and ending in Marrakesh.

The overnight camel trek into the Sahara remains one of my favorite vacation experiences of all time. Each location we visited was wonderful, the food was great and the housing was extremely comfortable in each location. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company!

Under desert moon

We decided to make a 3-day Fes to Marrakech desert tour over Merzouga, Erg Chebbi, Gorge Todra, Dades, Ouarzazate, Ait Benhaddou Since we were limited on time, the 3 days desert tour seemed like the best way to see a lot of the countryside.

I wrote many tour companies and picked this one on pure instinct and I was not disappointed. Ibrahim our tour guide/driver was extremely nice and informative. He almost made driving in Morocco seem safe.

The hotel was as promised and the camp in the desert awesome. And the Tagine made by our camel handler was one of, if not the, best we had in all of Morocco. I would definitely recommend this tour company as well as use them again.
