Day 1: Marrakesh » Ait Ben Haddou » Ouarzazate » Dades Valley [315 Km]

We will pick you up from your hotel to start your tour to Merzouga with an unforgettable drive from Marrakech to Dades Gorges across the High Atlas Mountains. Ascend through the (2,260-m) Tizi N’Tichka Pass and see beautiful villages suspended on the flanks of the mountains.

Then we proceed to Ouarzazate through the implacable stone desert, to visit the Kasbah of Taourirt and the well-known film studios.

After having your lunch enjoy your drive through the Dades Valley along the famous one thousand Kasbahs Road, driving through the fascinating town of Skoura, and on to Kelaat Magouna, famous for its roses.

After you arrive at Boumalne Dades, enjoy dinner and settle in for the night.

Day 2: Dades » Todra Gorges » Merzouga (Night in Desert Camp) [255 km]

Departure in the morning for the ever-shifting scenery along the way to Merzouga dunes. Crossing the Tinghir Oasis, drive through palm groves towards the Todra Gorges. In this gorgeous place, limestone cliffs seem like a gap, formed through the magnificent mountains of the Todra Massif, before diving down to the flatbed of a river.

The peaks rise up to 320 m above Todra gorges, which meanders from its source in the High Atlas Mountains. At leisure, wander within the gorges and palm groves. After having a hearty lunch, continue to the Tinjdad and Erfoud with their palm groves.

The 4-day adventure will then continue to our lovely destination: Merzouga desert, where you will experience the camel ride through the fascinating and wavy dunes of Erg Chebbi. A rest to watch a lovely sunset over the vast and golden sand dunes shift like moving sculptures in the form of draperies.

Watch as the colors vary according to the intensity of the light, and see how they act like the living walls of the desert, the highest reaching a magnificent 150 m.

Spend a magical night under the stars in nomadic tents after a delicious dinner and a music party (Berber drums) with locals. Undoubtedly this will be the best night in this trip, if not, in your entire holiday in Morocco.

Day 3: Merzouga Desert » Alnif » Nkob » Agdz » Ouarzazate [367 Km]

Wake early to watch the impressive sunrise. Then head back to the departure place after freshening up and having breakfast in the camp. Continuing our exciting journey to Merzouga. Depart towards the Palm grove of Tafilalet and the town of Rissani, where the Alaouite Dynasty originated.

Explore the ancient capital of the Alaouite Sultans before continuing to the village of Alnif, where we will take the road that crosses the Jbel Saghro Anti-Atlas chain. Notice the greyish-black mountains of different and remarkable shapes as you continue to the main Berber village of Tazzarine and N’kob and then drive into the Draa Valley with its rows of stately palms.

In the late afternoon, drive to Ouarzazate via the Anti-Atlas Mountain, through Tizi N’Tniffift. You will spend the night at a Riad or Kasbah in Ouarzazate.

Day 4: Ouarzazate » High Atlas Mountains » Marrakech [196 km]

Leaving Ouarzazate in the morning, we will visit a registered UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Ben Haddou, the most impressive Kasbah and well-preserved fortress in Morocco.

Best experience of life

My boyfriend and I planned a trip with the MTA organization and didn’t know what to expect. Before you go, you don’t know a lot about the desert trip.

What makes it a little bit outside, but maybe even more interesting. The trip was absolutely an amazing experience from the beginning.

We did a 4 day trip with 3 nights, one in the Dades valley and one in the desert the last one in Ouarzazate.

Everything was well-organized and we saw many beautiful places along the way. Thank you so much for the unforgettable experience.

An Amazing Adventure!

Our 4-day trip was absolutely amazing

The Moroccan landscape was like nothing I have seen before, and the night in the Sahara desert was an experience of a lifetime, although it was cold and windy..

It even snowed on the next day! We felt very welcomed the whole time and would highly recommend this Marrakech 4-day trip to anyone.
