The Merzouga sunset camel trek tour starts at least 1 hour before sunset time. It takes almost half an hour to reach the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi on a camel.
Then, we will leave the camels and in about 80 meters we will reach the highest dune of Erg Chebbi Merzouga. For those who want to see a panoramic view, they must climb to the top.
Climbing to the top takes another 10 minutes. If you prefer not to climb the higher dunes, the area around the “parking lot” of the camel is perfect for watching the sunset. After enjoying the sunset, return to the village, stopping in the gardens (as you wish).
After having enjoyed this short time, we returned to the village before nightfall.

Amazing Sunset Camel Ride!
I don't think you can see northern Africa without taking time to see the Sahara, it is truly a sight to behold. The shadows that the sun cast, the camels walking statuesque along the dunes, it is truly awe-inspiring.
We did a sunset camel ride and I would say this was my highlight of Morocco, the camel guides were amazing, they knew how to keep the group together, get the camels to kneel, and the perfect sunset spots.

Had an opportunity to visit this wonderful and amazing Sahara desert tour, a ride with the camel was a dream come, it was scary but a beautiful experience, the sand dunes was so fine and waiting for sunset was very memorable, it was just so lovely. hope I can go back to that place.
Highlight of the entire trip to Morocco
The desert tour was the best thing we did in Morocco. The views were stunning, and the sunset in the desert is one of the best I've seen in my life.
Also, our overnight in desert camp was we expected to have fewer facilities in the middle of nowhere, but the tour company offered water to wash hands, electricity to charge phones, and the beds were more comfortable than in some hotels. Highly recommend this tour - you won't regret it.
