Day and Night Camel Trek in Merzouga

The day and night camel ride in Merzouga starts around 10:00 AM, the camel guide will take you into the golden, wavy sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. Travel across this landscape on the back of a camel, a method of transport across the Sahara that stretches back thousands of years, feel the quietness of this timeless area while trekking over the dunes toward the desert camp.

The camel ride usually takes about a couple of hours, once you arrive there, you can relax and sip a cup of tea whilst preparing a delicious lunch by our staff in the camp. This Merzouga camel excursion is an opportunity to experience how nomad people suffice with simple primitive things to live.

After havinga hearty lunch, you may want to climb the big sand dunes to experience a sandboarding activity, an activity that becomes one of the famous activities in the Merzouga desert and Erg Chebbi dunes. Also, this is a great opportunity to enjoy one of the most spectacular sunsets and take lovely pictures.

It is really breathtaking views when the rays of the sun play with the sand dunes that change their color to orange, whenever the intensity of the rays decreases before the night falls, marking the end of an exciting day full of adventure and fun.
