Here’s the detailed tour plan for the excursion from Marrakech to Ourika Valley:
Day 1: Marrakech - Ourika Valley & Setti-Fatma village
This Day tour from Marrakech to Ourika Valley will take you to amongst the most stunning valleys of Morocco with its several waterfalls. Located about 30 km south of Marrakech around one hour driving from Marrakech.
On the way to the high Atlas, we will drive through the plain of Haouz and sinking all along the Ourika river where water is abundant all year.
Through our day trip, we will attend a Berber family that will open their house for us to discover the lifestyle of Berber and explore their traditions and their local culture. As well, we will have many stops to take some photos of the Berber villages located in the foothills of the High Atlas Mountains.
We will continue within the valley and we will stop to visit a local co-op of Argan oil run by ladies of the region. Later proceed to the end of the road in the village of Setti Fatma, about 1500 m above sea level where you will have the occasion to explore the beautiful and most charming villages of Setti Fatma.
There we will discover different cascades of Setti Fatma. After a while of hiking, we will come back to the village to enjoy a tasty traditional lunch in a local restaurant within easy reach of the river.
